The best fishing is usually in the months of May, June, and July, with Blue Marlin, Yellow fin Tuna, Dolphin, and Bonefish being most plentiful then. Wahoo are most plentiful in the months of December to March. There are several fishing tournaments throughout the year with the chance to win big prize money and numerous cash awards are reserved anyone breaking the local record for various species of game fish. Many anglers visit the Cayman Islands each year just to participate in these tournaments and if you would like to fish in one of them be sure to reserve it well in advance.
